Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School Graduation Information

 

Graduation Schedule of Events

All rehearsals are mandatory for all graduating seniors. Seniors that do not attend rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in graduation.

 

Rehearsal Dates

*Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – O-W Gymnasium

*Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – O-W Gymnasium

*Friday, May 27, 2016 at 7:45a.m. – SCSU Football Stadium

 

O-W 2016 Commencement Exercises

Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 7:45am-SCSU Football Stadium

All seniors are to report to South Carolina State University by 7:45 a.m.

 

Hold Orders and Outstanding Fees

All outstanding fees must be paid before the first graduation rehearsal on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Seniors that do not pay their fees will be removed from the rehearsal line. If the debts are not paid by 12:00 noon on Friday, May 27, 2016, those seniors’ names will be removed from the graduation list and will not be restored. ANY SENIOR THAT OWES MONEY TO O-W WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO MARCH UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

 

Caps and Gowns

All seniors planning to participate in commencement exercises MUST wear the cap and gown provided by Rhodes Graduation Services (Jostens). Seniors will not be allowed to wear any other type or color cap and gown.

 

Dress Code

Seniors are reminded that they are still O-W students and they must follow the O-W and OCSD 5 dress code during all rehearsals and graduation exercises.

The following dress code must be followed for graduation exercises:

 

Females

-          All female graduates must wear a dark colored dress and black shoes with sensible heels.

-          Any hosiery that is worn must be flesh colored and sheer.

-          All jewelry must be discreet and tasteful.

 

Males

-All male graduates must wear a white dress shirt, a dark tie, long black dress pants, black dress socks, and black dress shoes.

 

In case of inclement weather, graduation exercises will be moved to Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on the campus of South Carolina State University.
