From the Classroom to the Art Studio
Damion Johnson, 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year at Orangeburg Wilkinson High School, is being recognized in a series for Black History Month. This February, Megan Rivers, WCIV | ABC News 4 Reporter, is highlighting Black artists in and around the Lowcountry.
"I'm not an art teacher. I'm an artist. I share what I do. It's not that I'm teaching art, this is what I do everyday. At the end of the day I just come in here and share it with some young people."
